AMERICAN FORK, Utah-Josue Kajinga netted 28 points and the American Heritage Patriots edged Morgan 64-60 in Region 12 boys basketball play Wednesday. Bracken Saunders’ 21 points led the Trojans in the loss.
Region 16
EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah-Gavin Walker led the way with 15 points and the Merit Knights edged Rockwell 45-43 Wednesday in Region 16 boys basketball play.
Region 17 Tournament
RIVERDALE, Utah-Graham Harmor recorded 17 points and the Maeser Prep Lions decimated Utah Military Hillfield 70-20 Wednesday at the Region 17 tournament. Ian Patino and Nicolas Cordoba scored 4 points apiece in the loss for the Thunderbirds.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Jakobe Ross netted 17 points and the American Leadership Eagles smacked Waterford 72-31 at the Region 17 Tournament Wednesday. Solomon Foster led the Ravens in the loss with 14 points.

Region 16
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Carmen Samake led the way with 17 points and the Wasatch Academy Tigers smoked Utah Military Camp Williams 41-20 Wednesday in Region 16 girls basketball play. Bella Farman led the Marauders in the loss with 8 points.
PROVO, Utah-Daniela Jimenez-Ferrari posted 27 points and the Freedom Prep Eagles clobbered Salt Lake Academy 52-22 in Region 16 girls basketball play Wednesday. Maya Lynn Wideburg led the Griffins with 8 points in the loss.
EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah-Cassidy Jessop netted 15 points and the Rockwell Marshals pounded Merit 46-17 Wednesday in Region 16 girls basketball play. Ella Jay led the Knights in the loss with 5 points.
