LEHI, Utah-Bryce Mella netted 24 points and the American Fork Cavemen edged Skyridge 61-58 Friday in Region 3 boys basketball play. Carson Mosteller led the Falcons in the loss with 23 points.

Region 7
PAYSON, Utah-Blake Jenson posted 18 points and the Payson Lions downed Maple Mountain 58-54 Friday in Region 7 boys basketball play. Nash Jackson led the Golden Eagles in defeat with 16 points.
OREM, Utah-Simeon Suguturaga led the way with 21 points and the Orem Tigers smoked Wasatch 63-48 Friday in Region 7 boys basketball play. JJ Serre’s game-high 24 points led the Wasps in the loss.
PROVO, Utah-Dean Rueckert stepped up with 27 points and the Timpview Thunderbirds smoked Springville 84-57 in Region 7 boys basketball play Friday in our KIXR/talkofutahcounty.com Game of the Week. Jamyn Sondrup led the Red Devils in defeat with 21 points.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Oliver Mosman and Jaxon Brown netted 17 points apiece and the Pleasant Grove Vikings pummeled Spanish Fork 84-60 Friday in Region 7 boys basketball play at La Hacienda. Kade Leatherwood led the Dons in the loss with 13 points.
4A State Playoffs Second Round
DRAPER, Utah-Jaxen McCuistion netted 19 points and the No. 10 Timpanogos Timberwolves upset No. 7 Juan Diego 56-43 in the second round of the 4A state playoffs Friday. Deng Deng led the Soaring Eagle in the loss with 20 points. Timpanogos next faces No. 2 Pine View Thursday at 12:50 pm in the state quarterfinals at Weber State University.
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Nate Tueller’s 28 points led the way and the No. 2 Pine View Panthers surged past No. 15 Green Canyon 73-65 Friday in the second round of the 4A state playoffs.
MURRAY, Utah-Jake Goodman posted 17 points and the No. 13 Mountain View Bruins upset No. 4 Cottonwood 76-72 Friday in the second round of the 4A state playoffs. Malei Atem’s game-high 33 points led the Colts in the loss. Mountain View next draws No. 5 Dixie Thursday at 9:30 pm at Weber State University in the state quarterfinals.
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Collin Simmons recorded 31 points and the No. 5 Dixie Flyers soared past No. 12 Ridgeline 68-58 in the second round of the 4A state playoffs Friday. Cam Earl led the Riverhawks in the loss with 24 points.
PROVO, Utah-Caden Tollestrup led the way with 26 points and No. 1 Provo overpowered No. 17 Judge 67-55 in the second round of the 4A state playoffs Friday in the battle of the Bulldogs. Massaer Mbodj led Judge Memorial in the loss with 24 points. Provo next faces No. 8 Sky View Thursday at 11:10 am in the state quarterfinals at Weber State University.
SMITHFIELD, Utah-MaCade Rolle stepped up with 16 points and the No. 8 Sky View Bobcats doubled up No. 9 Snow Canyon 66-33 Friday in the second round of the 4A state playoffs. Reggie MacKay’s 15 points and 6 rebounds led the Warriors in the loss.
WASHINGTON CITY, Utah-Travis Murdock netted 18 points and the No. 3 Crimson Cliffs Mustangs edged No. 14 Murray 59-57 in the second round of the 4A state playoffs Friday. Roman Israyelyan led the Spartans in the loss with 25 points. Crimson Cliffs next faces No. 6 Hurricane Thursday at 2:30 pm in the state quarterfinals at Weber State University.
HURRICANE, Utah-Brigham Kemp led the way with 23 points and 9 rebounds and the No. 6 Hurricane Tigers got past No. 11 East 63-58 Friday in the second round of the 4A state playoffs. Beckam Christensen led the Leopards in defeat with 15 points.
3A State Playoffs Second Round
AMERICAN FORK, Utah-James Matsen led the way with 24 points and the No. 3 American Heritage Patriots pounded No. 14 North Sanpete 79-43 in the second round of the 3A state basketball playoffs Friday. Bryce Swapp led the Hawks in the loss with 19 points. The Patriots will play No. 6 Delta Thursday at 2:30 pm in the 3A state quarterfinals at Southern Utah University.
2A State Playoffs Second Round
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Jakobe Ross netted 15 points and the No. 3 ALA Eagles got past No. 14 Beaver 48-45 Friday in the second round of the 2A state basketball playoffs. Schevion Ormsby led the Beavers in the loss with 14 points. ALA next faces No. 6 South Summit February 23 at 2:30 pm in the state quarterfinals at Utah Valley University.

Region 3
LEHI, Utah-Lily Grant netted 15 points and the Skyridge Falcons edged American Fork 56-55 Friday in Region 3 girls basketball play. Jalise Chatman led the Cavemen in defeat with 15 points.
LEHI, Utah-Brynlee Cook posted 11 points and the Lehi Pioneers hammered Corner Canyon 68-32 in Region 3 girls basketball play Friday. Keala Lund led the Chargers in defeat with 10 points.
Region 7
PROVO, Utah-Hattie Templeman led the way with 21 points and the Springville Red Devils bested Timpview 47-40 Friday in Region 7 girls basketball play. Cumorah Tupola led the Thunderbirds with 17 points in the loss.
HEBER CITY, Utah-Abi Winzeler netted 11 points and the Wasatch Wasps got past Maple Mountain 41-38 in Region 7 girls basketball play Friday at The Nest. Leah Bailey led the Golden Eagles in defeat with 11 points.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Tabitha Clark posted 17 points and the Pleasant Grove Vikings routed Spanish Fork 67-32 Friday at La Hacienda in Region 7 girls basketball play.
