SPANISH FORK, Utah-Jeremiah Hall and Eli Renz homered and the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles routed Timpview 27-6 in Region 7 baseball play Thursday. Hayden Hyatt netted two strikeouts in 1.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Golden Eagles. Cole Engemann, Will Cannon, McCoy Webb and Beckham Woodward drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Thunderbirds.

VERNAL, Utah-Chase Ford and Benji Engemann homered and the Orem Tigers pummeled Uintah 22-3 Thursday in Region 8 baseball play. Beckett Hendry netted eight strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Tigers. Zane Murray and Brody Murray drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Utes.

AMERICAN FORK, Utah-Maggie Nelson homered twice and Ruby Nelson, Cree Cooper, Clara Gourley and Maci Koch also homered as the Lone Peak Knights bested American Fork 17-12 Thursday in Region 3 softball play. Gourley netted five strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Knights. Nataanii Fielding and Sydney Adamson homered in the loss for the Cavemen.

PROVO, Utah-The Springville Red Devils downed Timpview 3-1 in Region 7 softball play Thursday. Kara Thompson drove in a run in the loss for the Thunderbirds.

PLEASANT GROVE, Utah-Daphnee Pagano and Izzie Groneman each homered and the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles pounded Pleasant Grove 18-2 Thursday in Region 7 softball play. Gracie Jensen pitched three innings to earn the win in the circle for Maple Mountain. Allyson Young and Mailey Gillen drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Vikings.

Region 8

OREM, Utah-Lucy Clark drove in three runs and the Mountain View Bruins smacked Summit Academy 16-1 Thursday in Region 8 softball play. Kaylee Luttio drove in a run in defeat for the Bears.

PROVO, Utah-Kale’a Nakayama and Shaylie Lang each homered and the Timpanogos Timberwolves pounded Provo 22-6 in Region 8 softball play Thursday. Lang netted three strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Timpanogos. Tava’esina Albert drove in two runs in the loss for the Bulldogs.
