Cael Esplin netted four strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Warriors.

WASHINGTON CITY, Utah-Ricardo Navarro homered and the No. 7 Crimson Cliffs Mustangs drilled No. 10 Orem 11-3 in the first game of the 4A Super Regionals Thursday. Tyler Ransom recorded seven strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Mustangs. Beck Berge, Benji Engemann and Mac Christiansen drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Tigers.

GARLAND, Utah-Ethan Higgs homered and the No. 6 Bear River Bears stonewalled No. 11 Pine View 4-1 in the first game of the 4A Super Regionals Thursday. Stephen Starnes netted 10 strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bears.

PROVO, Utah-Drevin Christensen and Elijah Aulava each homered and the No. 5 Provo Bulldogs smoked No. 21 Sky View 9-5 Thursday in the first game of the 4A Super Regionals. Will Gulbrandsen netted seven strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bulldogs. Rad Sparrow, Gage McRae, Isaac Daniels and Tucker Stokes each recorded an RBI in defeat for the Bobcats.

OREM, Utah-Bronco Blackhurst drove in two runs and the No. 3 Timpanogos Timberwolves edged No. 14 Juan Diego 3-2 in the first game of the 4A Super Regionals Thursday. Canyon Clegg posted three strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Timberwolves. Lange Livonius homered in defeat for the Soaring Eagle.

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Harmon Skeen homered and the No. 2 Desert Hills Thunder got past No. 18 Stansbury 10-7 Thursday in the first game of the 4A Super Regionals. Maddux MacIntosh netted two strikeouts in 3.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Thunder. Tyler Hadlock drove in two runs in defeat for the Stallions.

HYRUM, Utah-Weston Gilmore and Jonny McGuire drove in two runs apiece and the No. 9 Dixie Flyers soared past No. 8 Mountain Crest 6-5 in the first game of the 4A Super Regionals Thursday. Carson Hunt netted two strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Flyers. Jackson Pearce drove in two runs in the loss for the Mustangs.

MILLVILLE, Utah-Brady Cook homered and the No. 4 Ridgeline Riverhawks smoked No. 13 Cedar 9-1 Thursday in the first game of the 4A Super Regionals. Easton Hammond netted six strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ridgeline. Payton Ludlow drove in a run in the loss for the Reds.

2A One-Loss Bracket

PROVO, Utah-Hunter Courtney drove in a run and the No. 6 American Leadership Eagles blanked No. 7 Parowan 1-0 Thursday at Miller Park in the 2A one-loss bracket. Justus Brost posted five strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Eagles.

Boys Volleyball

6A State Championship @ UVU

OREM, Utah-Ashton Shewell amassed 25 kills and the No. 1 Lehi Pioneers captured their first state championship in boys volleyball in school history by overpowering No. 2 Bingham 3-2 in the 6A boys volleyball state championshpi match at Utah Valley University Thursday. The Pioneers outlasted the Miners 22-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-13, 15-11 to win the historic state championship for the program.

HIGHLAND, Utah-Brinlee Skidmore and Brynlee Cook homered and the Lehi Pioneers pounded Lone Peak 15-0 Thursday in Region 3 softball play. Claire Crutchfield netted seven strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Pioneers.

WEST JORDAN, Utah-Kimber Johnson drove in three runs and the Copper Hills Grizzlies smoked Cedar Valley 15-2 in Region 3 softball play Thursday. Kennedy Jenkins recorded six strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Grizzlies. Centry Lundberg and Eva Okusi homered in the loss for the Aviators.

GARLAND, Utah-Londyn Gamble netted five RBI and the No. 2 Bear River Bears dismantled No. 15 Timpanogos 17-2 Thursday in the first game of the 4A Super Regionals. Kate Wilson netted five strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Bears. Kaleah Sao homered in the loss for the Timberwolves.

VERNAL, Utah-Taya Miller homered and the No. 3 Uintah Utes hammered No. 19 Snow Canyon 12-2 in the first game of the 4A Super Regionals Thursday. Lynlie Hall posted six strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Utes. Alli Beckstrom drove in a run in the loss for the Warriors.

Jaelyn Woods netted four strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Golden Eagles. Ashlyn Wilding and Paige Tuckfield drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Mustangs.
