Monday, Utah Tech freshman linebacker Luke Hansen was named the Big Sky Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week for his contributions to the Trailblazers’ 43-26 win over Cal Poly last Saturday at San Luis Obispo, Calif.
Hansen, a former Farmington High School star out of Farmington, Utah, recorded his first collegiate interception, a sack and two tackles for a loss in the win against the Mustangs.
Hansen and his Trailblazers teammates return to action Saturday by hosting Idaho State at Greater Zion Stadium as the Big Sky season ensues for both squads.
