VERNAL, Utah-Kenadie Maughan led the way with 14 points and the No. 12 Uintah Utes drilled No. 21 Highland 51-23 in the first round of the 4A state playoffs Wednesday. Vada Foster led the Rams in the loss with 13 points. The Utes next visit No. 5 Snow Canyon Saturday at 1:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
OREM, Utah-MaKayla Boyer netted 26 points and No. 9 Timpanogos routed No. 24 Deseret Peak 77-36 Wednesday in the first round of the 4A state playoffs. Vaoahi Fonua led the Golden Eagles in the loss with 13 points. Timpanogos next visits No. 8 Provo in the second round of the state playoffs Saturday at 1:00 pm.
CEDAR CITY, Utah-Avery Johnson posted 17 points and the No. 22 Park City Miners upset No. 11 Cedar City 55-49 in the first round of the 4A state playoffs Wednesday. Gabby Gomez led the Lady Reds in the loss with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Park City next visits No. 6 Mountain Crest Saturday at 1:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
SMITHFIELD, Utah-Mollee Allen led the way with 23 points and the No. 14 Sky View Bobcats drilled No. 19 Crimson Cliffs 60-42 Wednesday in the first round of the 4A state playoffs. Josie Myers led the Mustangs in the loss with 19 points.
TOOELE, Utah-Halle Hogan netted 20 points and the No. 15 Tooele Buffalos routed No. 18 Hurricane 53-36 in the first round of the 4A state playoffs Wednesday. Laynee Walker led the Tigers with 16 points in the loss. Tooele next visits No. 2 Green Canyon in the second round of the state playoffs Saturday at 1:00 pm.
OREM, Utah-Saralynn Hair netted 15 points and the No. 10 Mountain View Bruins waxed No. 23 Murray 42-35 Wednesday in the first round of the 4A state playoffs. Addison Allen led the Spartans in the loss with 10 points. Mountain View next visits No. 7 Ridgeline Saturday at 1:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
SALT LAKE CITY-Munah Doe led the way with 17 points and No. 13 Judge bested No. 20 Bear River 54-47 in the first round of the 4A state playoffs Wednesday. Ava Driggs posted 10 points and 8 rebounds in the loss for the Bears. Judge next visits No. 4 Desert Hills in the second round of the state playoffs Saturday at 1:00 pm.
MURRAY, Utah-Belle Kellywood posted 11 points and No. 16 Cottonwood edged No. 17 Jordan 39-37 Wednesday in the first round of the 4A state playoffs. Bergen Jettie led the Beetdiggers in the loss with 12 points. The Colts next visit No. 1 Dixie Saturday at 1:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah-Ruby Clegg and Ashtyn Arnout led the way with 10 points apiece and the No. 17 South Summit Wildcats drilled No. 16 Rockwell 51-21 Wednesday in the first round of the 2A state playoffs. Brinley Jenson led the Marshals in the loss with 7 points. South Summit next visits No. 1 Kanab Saturday at 1:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
LINDON, Utah-Lillian Nolan netted 19 points and No. 13 Maeser overpowered No. 20 ALA 36-29 in the first round of the 2A state playoffs Wednesday. Preslee Orton led the Eagles in the loss with 8 points. Maeser next visits No. 4 North Summit in the second round of the state playoffs Saturday at 1:00 pm.
SANDY, Utah-Berklee Hasebi led the way with 20 points and the No. 12 Waterford Ravens bested No. 21 Freedom Prep 53-43 in the second round of the state playoffs Saturday at 1:00 pm. Daniela Jimenez-Ferrari led the Eagles in the loss with 34 points. The Ravens next visit No. 5 Duchesne Saturday at 1:00 pm in the second round of the state playoffs.
AMERICAN FORK, Utah-Brinley Hall stepped up with 21 points and the No. 9 American Heritage Eagles clobbered No. 24 Rowland Hall 83-14 Wednesday in the first round of the state playoffs.
