4A State Tournament Second Round
MILLVILLE, Utah-Abby Munford netted 13 points and 9 rebounds and the No. 7 Ridgeline Riverhawks soared past No. 10 Mountain View 43-27 in second round of the 4A state tournament Saturday. Saralynn Hair led the Bruins in the loss with 9 points. The Riverhawks next face No. 2 Green Canyon Thursday at 1:00 pm in the state quarterfinals at Weber State University.
NORTH LOGAN, Utah-Halle Hunter posted 15 points and the No. 2 Green Canyon Wolves smoked No. 15 Tooele 51-31 Saturday in the second round of the 4A state tournament. Macie Gustin led the Buffaloes with 9 points in the loss.
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Reese Gustin led the way with 19 points and the No. 3 Pine View Panthers drilled No. 14 Sky View 52-44 Saturday in the second round of the 4A state tournament. Mollee Allen’s 13 points led the Bobcats in defeat.
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Falynn Randall posted 16 points and the No. 5 Snow Canyon Warriors downed No. 12 Uintah 58-49 in the second round of the 4A state tournament Saturday. Kenadie Maughan led the Utes in the loss with 16 points. Snow Canyon next faces No. 4 Desert Hills Thursday at 9:10 pm in the state quarterfinals at Weber State University.
PROVO, Utah-Asha Aletto led the way with 14 points and the No. 8 Provo Bulldogs edged No. 9 Timpanogos 58-55 Saturday in the second round of the 4A state tournament. MaKayla Boyer led the Timberwolves with 17 points in defeat. Provo next faces No. 1 Dixie Thursday at 7:30 pm in the state quarterfinals at Weber State University.
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Lydia Shurtliff netted 15 points and No. 2 Dixie routed No. 16 Cottonwood 70-22 in the second round of the 4A state tournament Saturday. Carley Caton led the Colts in the loss with 8 points.
HYRUM, Utah-Bela Carroll posted 18 points and the No. 6 Mountain Crest Mustangs pummeled No. 22 Park City 73-27 Saturday in the second round of the 4A state tournament. Avery Johnson led the Miners in defeat with 13 points.
2A State Tournament 2nd Round
COALVILLE, Utah-Ellie Stephens posted 27 points and the No. 4 North Summit Braves routed No. 13 Maeser Prep 59-23 Saturday in the second round of the 2A state tournament. Hazel Leeper led the Lions in the loss with 10 points.
BLANDING, Utah-Kaidence Michell posted 17 points and the No. 8 San Juan Broncos downed No. 9 American Heritage 60-50 in the second round of the 2A state tournament Saturday. Minna Paulson led the Patriots with 17 points in defeat.
