ST. GEORGE, Utah-Cruz Adams homered and the American Fork Cavemen downed Pleasant Grove 9-3 Friday at the Red Rock Classic at Bruce Hurst Field. Adams recorded nine strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cavemen. Conner Ybarra drove in two runs in the loss for the Vikings.
Region 2
EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah-McKade Ortiz and Bryce Mounteer drove in two runs apiece and the Riverton Silverwolves bested Cedar Valley 10-6 in Region 2 baseball play Friday. Caleb Garcia’s two strikeouts in five innings of work earned the win on the mound for the Silverwolves. Talen Ryan’s grand slam paced the Aviators in defeat.
Region 8
OREM, Utah-Canyon Clegg and Corbin Hardy drove in two runs apiece and the Timpanogos Timberwolves got past Mountain View 7-4 in Region 8 baseball play Friday in the crosstown rivalry. Deacon Telford, Diego Falcon, Josh Hair and Dirk Ford each drove in a run in the loss for the Bruins.
PROVO, Utah-Luke Jones homered and the Orem Tigers downed Provo 5-1 Friday in Region 8 baseball play. Rich Coulson’s seven strikeouts in seven innings of work earned the win on the mound for the Tigers. Ty Nielsen had an RBI in the loss for the Bulldogs.

LEHI, Utah-Brady Lowe drove in two runs and the Skyridge Falcons routed Springvile 12-3 in non-region baseball play Friday. Murphy Dunn netted a strikeout in 3.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Falcons. Kasen Torres drove in two runs in the loss for the Red Devils.
PROVO, Utah-Will Cannon drove in five runs and the Timpview Thunderbirds stonewalled Highland 10-2 Friday in non-region baseball play. Cannon’s five strikeouts in three innings of work earned the win on the mound for Timpview. Hudson Manville had an RBI in the loss for the Rams.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah-RJ Wilson found the net and the Salt Lake Academy Griffins blanked Westlake 1-0 in Region 2 boys soccer play Friday. Bryson Brock recorded the shutout in the net for the Griffins.
