VERNAL, Utah-Dawson Moore, Drevin Christensen, Tre Asisi, Max Heriford, Taven Lancaster, Ty Nielsen and Will Gulbrandsen each drove in a run and the Provo Bulldogs got past Uintah 8-5 Thursday in Region 8 baseball play. Gehrig Orchard posted five strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Provo. Jaxson Erickson drove in two runs in the loss for the Utes.
OREM, Utah-Luke Jones drove in three runs and the Orem Tigers bested Mountain View 8-5 Thursday in a Region 8 baseball crosstown rivalry. Coulson Rich posted two strikeouts in 4.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Tigers. Mac Strong had two RBI in the loss for the Bruins.

PRICE, Utah-Kash Wallin drove in four runs and the Salem Hills Skyhawks overpowered Carbon 16-6 in non-region baseball play Thursday. Colton McGhie posted two strikeouts in three innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Skyhawks. Maddux Wilson drove in three runs in defeat for the Dinos.

OREM, Utah-Ellie Lewis homered and the Uintah Utes downed Timpanogos 6-4 Thursday in Region 8 softbal play. Lynlie Hall’s seven strikeouts in five innings of work earned the win in the circle for the Utes. Kaleah Sao drove in two runs in defeat for the Timberwolves.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah-Makaylee Barnes homered and the Cedar Valley Aviators edged Maple Mountain 4-3 Thursday in non-region softball play. Centry Lundberg posted three strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Aviators. Izzie Groneman homered in defeat for the Golden Eagles.
