Jacob Mayo posted two strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Springville. Cole Engemann drove in a run in the loss for the Thunderbirds.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Kavyn Carter netted four strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound as the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles outlasted Pleasant Grove 3-2 Thursday in Region 7 baseball play. Crew Anderson homered in the loss for the Vikings.
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Nixon Warren drove in five runs and the Spanish Fork Dons routed Salem Hills 12-2 in Region 7 baseball play Thursday. Kayden Lambson netted nine strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Dons. Colton McGhie and Guss Johnson drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Skyhawks.
HEBER CITY, Utah-Brigzen Houser and Ty Marvin homered and the Payson Lions bested Wasatch 9-5 Thursday in Region 7 baseball play. Bosten Roseman recorded 10 strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Lions. Austin Brown homered twice and Royal Matthews also went yard in the loss for the Wasps.

HERRIMAN, Utah-Hannah Danise drove in three runs and the Mountain Ridge Sentinels pounded Cedar Valley 12-3 in Region 2 softball play Thursday. Natasha Dial pitched 3.1 innings to record the win in the circle for the Sentinels. Takuilau Wolfgramm homered in the loss for the Aviators.
