HEBER CITY, Utah-Sam Pinter, Crew Baxter, Braxton Faller, Austin Brown and Royal Matthews each drove in a run and the Wasatch Wasps smacked Timpview 6-2 Monday in Region 7 baseball play. Miguel Armendariz posted four strikeous in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Wasps. Will Cannon netted an RBI in the loss for the Thunderbirds.
SPRINGVILLE, Utah-Ty Marvin homered and the Payson Lions blanked Springville 2-0 Monday in Region 7 baseball play.
PLEASANT GROVE, Utah-Nash Clement drove in three runs and the Pleasant Grove Vikings dismantled Spanish Fork 7-1 in Region 7 baseball play Monday. Mason Hawk Henry recorded 12 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Pleasant Grove. Sammy Dart had an RBI in the loss for the Dons.
Region 8
OREM, Utah-Chase Ford drove in a run and the Orem Tigers edged Summit Academy 3-2 in Region 8 baseball play Monday. Tyler Richards netted 10 strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Tigers. Talin Hill and Trace Gedicks drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Bears.
OREM, Utah-Tre Asisi homered and the Provo Bulldogs routed Mountain View 10-2 Monday in Region 8 baseball play. Will Gulbrandsen netted four strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bulldogs. Caden Imes drove in a pair of runs in the loss for the Bruins.
VERNAL, Utah-Cooper Hawkes and Jace Spencer drove in two runs apiece and the Timpanogos Timberwolves smoked Uintah 9-1 Monday in Region 8 baseball play. Canyon Clegg’s three strikeouts in seven innings of work earned the win on the mound for Timpanogos.
