HERRIMAN, Utah-Dalton Fay homered and the Mountain Ridge Sentinels surged past Cedar Valley 12-5 in Region 2 baseball play Monday. Colby Claassen recorded five strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Sentinels. Landon Johnson drove in two runs in the loss for the Aviators.

LEHI, Utah-Jake Welch homered twice and the Lehi Pioneers bested Corner Canyon 10-7 in Region 3 baseball play Monday. Taygen Stephensen netted a strikeout in 3.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Pioneers. Levi Hines drove in two runs in the loss for the Chargers.
LEHI, Utah-Cache Poulson homered and the American Fork Cavemen got past Skyridge 12-9 Monday in Region 3 baseball play. Ty Holmstead netted two strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cavemen. Miles Robinson and Rip Roberts drove in two runs apiece in the loss for the Falcons.

SANDY, Utah-Dallon Molder and Joseph Peak drove in two runs apiece and the Jordan Beetdiggers edged Lone Peak 5-4 Monday in non-region baseball play. Talon Petersen netted three strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Jordan. Dallin Scharmann, Grady Slesk, Mason Johnsen and Kingston Stroshine drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Knights.

SPANISH FORK, Utah-Paizley Boman drove in four runs and the Spanish Fork Dons edged Westlake 7-6 in non-region softball play Monday. Boman netted 11 strikeouts in eight innings of work to earn the win in the circle for the Dons. Brilynn Attebery homered in defeat for the Thunder.

2A Semifinals @ Zions Bank Stadium
HERRIMAN, Utah-Denzel Sono-Koree, Donnel Sono-Koree, Noah Johnson and Nathan Bowler each scored and the No. 1 Maeser Prep Lions blew past No. 4 American Heritage 4-0 Monday in the 2A boys soccer state semifinals at Zions Bank Stadium. Mahonri Alcazar recorded the shutout in the net in victory for the Lions. The Lions will play No. 3 Rowland Hall May 11 at 11:00 am for the 2A state championship at Zions Bank Stadium.

VERNAL, Utah-Jared Cortes and Giancarlo Galeas each scored as the Provo Bulldogs doubled up Uintah 2-1 in Region 8 boys soccer play Monday.
