EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah-Boston Swain drove in two runs and the Mountain Ridge Sentinels stonewalled Cedar Valley 10-2 in Region 2 baseball play Wednesday. Schafer Dixon netted four strikeouts in four innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Sentinels. Talen Ryan and Ruger Powell drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Aviators.
SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah-Cache Carter homered and the Herriman Mustangs doubled up Westlake 14-7 Wednesday in Region 2 baseball play. Sam Heyborne netted two strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Herriman. Mason Vroman homered in the loss for the Thunder.

LEHI, Utah-Bode Gaggero homered and the American Fork Cavemen surged past Skyridge 15-8 in Region 3 baseball play Wednesday. Brecken Jensen netted two strikeouts in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cavemen. Miles Robinson homered in the loss for the Falcons.

OREM, Utah-Ashton Shewell posted 21 kills and the No. 1 Lehi Pioneers overpowered No. 3 Cedar Valley 3-0 in the 6A state quarterfinals Wednesday at the UCCU Center on the campus of Utah Valley University. The Pioneers bested the Aviators 25-18, 25-21, 25-23 to prevail in straight sets. Lehi faces No. 5 Mountain Ridge Thursday at 12:00 pm at UVU in the state semifinals.
